The world of logistics is characterised by dynamism and change. In order to act at all times, teams are needed that can react flexibly. The Nagel-Group Task Force embodies this principle, providing support where it is most urgently needed, whether that be in warehouse logistics, commercial processes or projects.<\/p>

Working in the Task Force gives you the opportunity to get to know Nagel-Group from many perspectives, build up a network and develop professionally. Alexander R\u00f6hn and Max Loesche, who have recently taken on management roles in other areas of the Nagel Group, demonstrate the value of this experience. Can you briefly describe your path into the company and later into the Task Force?<\/b><\/span><\/p>

I joined Nagel-Group in 2018, after a difficult period in my life, as a mini-jobber, and discovered that the company is a real opportunity provider. In 2019, I started an apprenticeship as a warehouse logistics specialist, which I was able to shorten by six months. Soon after that, I took on the role of shift supervisor.<\/p>

I joined the Task Force because I wanted to develop professionally. I had already had the opportunity to familiarise myself with the task force during my training, when I volunteered to support a branch for a week. From that moment on, I knew that I wanted to become part of this team.<\/p>

During my final year with the operational Task Force, I was assigned to the LEAN team, which specialises in process optimisation. There, I was able to combine my practical experience with my colleagues' theoretical expertise.<\/p>

Take us into your everyday life in the Task Force: What does a typical assignment look like?<\/b><\/span><\/p>

There is no such thing as a \u201ctypical\u201d assignment in the operational Task Force, and that's exactly what makes the job so exciting. Every assignment brings new people, new situations, and new challenges. I really appreciate this diversity.<\/p>

What has been your best or most exciting experience in the Task Force so far?<\/b><\/span><\/p>

I could think of many assignments. The most stressful ones were often the best. It's incredible how much you can laugh together, even in challenging situations.<\/p>

What is your next step within the Nagel Group?<\/b><\/span><\/p>

I returned to my home branch in Ottendorf-Okrilla on 1 January 2026, taking up the position of manager transshipment warehouse. I'm looking forward to the new challenge and to actively addressing the upcoming tasks.<\/p>

Which areas did you develop the most in professionally and personally through your work in the Task Force, and how will this help you in your new role?<\/b><\/span><\/p>

In the Task Force, I learned to identify and solve problems where they arise, rather than waiting until they become obvious. In addition, you gain valuable experience from every branch, whether through particularly good processes or things that can be improved.\n\nWorking with the LEAN team has also helped me grow. I learned about tools for process optimization and analysis, and I am grateful that I was welcomed so warmly.\n\nWorking with my colleagues in the transport department has also been very beneficial for me. I have learned a lot that will help me in my new position.<\/p>

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported me over the past two years. The time I spent with you has been a great enrichment!<\/p>

For which people do you think the Task Force is exactly the right next step and why?<\/b><\/span><\/p>

The Task Force is ideal for anyone who wants to step out of their comfort zone and develop professionally. If you want to broaden your professional horizons, this is the right place for you. I would recommend it to anyone looking to take the next step in their career.<\/p>

What advice would you give to colleagues who are considering joining the Task Force?<\/b><\/span><\/p>

Talk openly with your manager about your development goals. Can you briefly describe your path into the company and later into the Task Force?<\/b><\/span><\/p>

In 2017, I began my apprenticeship as a warehouse logistics specialist in Bochum. After completing my apprenticeship, I worked both early and night shifts. After about three months, I took on the position of team leader and was responsible for loading consolidated goods and preparing incoming goods. I frequently supported the M\u00fclheim site and came into contact with the Task Force for the first time. I was then asked if I could imagine joining them, and that's how the contact started. This ultimately led to my transfer to the Task Force.<\/p>

Take us into your everyday life in the Task Force: What does a typical assignment look like?<\/b><\/span><\/p>

As a full-time field service employee, Monday begins with travel, and during assignments, you actually live out of a suitcase most of the time. My assignments have already taken me all over Germany, Austria, and Poland. We basically work throughout almost all of Europe. Once we arrive at the respective location, we first get an overview and are immediately ready to start work. Depending on the situation, we work to solve problems through process optimization or other measures. In some cases, I have also rolled out projects myself and provided support for various commercial issues, for example in the area of Service-Now.<\/p>

What has been your best or most exciting experience in the Task Force so far?<\/b><\/span><\/p>

My most exciting experience was my first major project in Alzenau. We were there for an extended period of time and were able to adapt many processes. The on-site training sessions with the employees in particular made the processes much easier. Our efforts enabled us to significantly improve the situation, resulting in a good solution for the customer.<\/p>

What is your next step within the Nagel Group?<\/b><\/span><\/p>

Since January 1, 2026, I work as Operations Manager Contract Logistics in Bochum.<\/p>

Which areas did you develop the most in professionally and personally through your work in the Task Force, and how will this help you in your new role?<\/b><\/span><\/p>

Thanks to my numerous assignments in Europe and the different working methods, I was able to significantly expand my specialist knowledge. It was also helpful to get to know other facets of the business. I have worked in all types of warehouses, from frozen food facilities to dry storage warehouses. Over the last two years, I have mainly been working in the commercial sector. This has enabled me to identify and eliminate many sources of error, which has greatly expanded my knowledge.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

For which people do you think the Task Force is exactly the right next step and why?<\/b><\/span><\/p>

The task force is ideal for young people looking for new challenges and for anyone who wants to expand their professional knowledge.<\/p>

What advice would you give to colleagues who are considering joining the Task Force?<\/b><\/span><\/p>
